Tempranillo is the 3rd most planted wine grape variety in the world, after Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. It’s grown throughout Iberian Peninsula, but most famous in Rioja DOCa. It has many other popular synonyms, like Tinta de Toro, Tinto Fino, Cencibel, Tinta Roriz, Aragonez.
