Millton Vineyard’s flagship single vineyard Chenin Blanc product. The vineyard of Clos de Ste. Anne estate has been developed around the original Naboth’s Vineyard, where Chardonnay and Pinot Noir were initially planted in 1980.
The entire property is over 30 acres, which includes vineyards, forest, amenity trees, livestock and olive plantations and has been farmed using biodynamic techniques since 1989. In 2001, additional plantings had been rooted, including Chenin Blanc.

The Chenin Blanc fruits were whole bunch pressed after the harvest. Less than 10% of the must had been soaked on skins for extended period of time. After the fermentation, the wine are settling in 600-litre demi muids and aged sur lie for 18 months. Both the vineyard and the winery are biodynamic certified.
The vineyard is known for producing very concentrated Chenin Blanc consistently. Better than that, the wine has its acidity holding true.
There are aromas of honey, pears and bees wax and quince paste with a hint of warm wool and starched linen. The savoury acidity and austere dry textured tannin are refreshing, while a quince-like fruit flavour gives lift and great length to the overall taste.
Ageing potential is immense, the palate profile possibly will elevate for the next decade or more.
