Forbidden Vines Queen of Hearts Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2021

Forbidden Vines is a Marlborough based wine producer that makes three products with typical, yet seductive Marlborough expression.

The fruits of “Queen of Hearts” Sauvignon Blanc mostly come from Northern side of Wairau, close to the coast. After harvest the grapes were quickly crushed and pressed into stainless steel tanks where the juice was fermented at controlled cool temperatures to capture the intense varietal flavours. The wine was then blended and bottled.

Drink within three years, and match with casual seafood. The wine offers aromas of grapefruit leads into lime with a trace of nettle orange blossom. Nicely textured juicy entry with an abundance of fruit including mandarin and gooseberry, lime and green apple. This is a bright wine with a lingering finish.
