This Pinot Blanc is a medium body dry white wine came from a delimited area in Pfalz, Germany. Its aromatic profile is rather neutral compare to most of Pinot Gris. Still, the wine has very pleasant flavour that resembles white peach, unripe cherry and melon. The finish is very smooth with some almond like notes. Good to match with tender, delicate food. (E.g. white meat sashimi.)

Weingut Villa Wolf, Wachenheim. An outstanding wine producer, based in Pfalz wine region of Germany. This historical Estate was initially established in 1756, now owned by Dr. Loosen Estate since 1996. Ever since Ernest Loosen took over the directorship, Villa Wolf had been managed by a team of very talented young people, now selling in over a dozen of international destinations.

The area of Pfalz falls under Palastinate administration area, directly North of French Alsace. By geology and terroir, it is arguably a Northern extension of Alsace. The low-lying Haardt mountains protect the area from cold, wet Atlantic weather, making it one of the warmer and drier areas of Germany. Wine grapes do quite well here where it is possible to achieve full ripeness in every vintage. The predominant soil type in this area is well-drained, weathered sandstone. Due to the fact the area is not as famous as Mosel or Rheingau, Pfalz often offers wines of terrific value.

Gently sloped vineyards of Villa Wolf, facing South East.

Pinot Blanc is an elegant and easy drinking wine. Fresh and bright aromas come from picking the fruit at the optimal ripeness. This medium-bodied dry wine is complex, not too sweet with just the right amount of acidity creating a great balance. It is light and fruity enough to enjoy on its own but also pairs well with food like quiche, grilled fresh fish and creamy cheeses like Muenster.

2021 vintage wines exude a wonderful balance of ripe fruit aromas, excellent acidity, and elegant minerality. They already offer great
enjoyment to drink now, but will also benefit greatly from cellaring.
